UbiKids T-shirts

One really fun project I worked on at Ubisoft was the annual t-shirt lineup for Ubisoft employees’ kids. This was also my first experience working with vendors—where I got to learn a lot about color matching, budget, and turnaround times.

Exploration

As the oldest of 7 grandchildren, I had an existing knowledge of the designs that kids liked to wear at the time. With some extra online browsing, I was able to hit the ground running with lots of exploration.

Narrowing it down…

After presenting some initial exploration to my art director and project manager, we moved forward with presenting these options. One challenge I encountered during this phase was justifying my use of color. We had a budget to stick to, and more colors meant higher production costs.

The Final Lineup

I was excited to be able to stretch the budget a bit with some designs that made a strong impact. After picking the final design lineup, I moved on to communicating with the printing vendor on color matching and turnaround.
